It’s one of those towns you think about passing through, but you can’t help stop at. The heritage buildings, the colourful vineyards and the historic township is an eyeful and worth taking your time to explore.
The Sunrise Bakery and Cafe is around the corner near an open dining and public park area and their service there is just great. Lots of loveliness to choose from and eating indoors or outdoors – the decor is just perfect. On a sunny day in Autumn, those red grapevine leaves, blue skies and sunshine are the perfect recipe, before you even indulge into a cappucino and cake.
Take your pick from their selection of cakes and top it off with a cuppa. A wonderful way and location to share a morning or afternoon tea and just suck in all that gorgeous atmosphere.
Pear and ricotta tart. I’d go back just to taste that once again.
Can’t go past the Bienstich (beesting cake) either. Buy one piece for $4 or a whole cake for $8. Mm…. tempted?
